Nancy was born on July 13, 1941 to Lucille (Yadley) and Frank Bower. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1960 and was then married to John Bjorkquist of Spring Arbor on June 13, 1960. They moved to Williamston in 1962. Her children were: son, David (1961); daughters, Cindy (1964) and Sandra (Hartsuff) (1967). Nancy and John were members of the Williamston Free Methodist Church where Nancy taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years. She worked at St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing for 17 years in the Cytology Lab. Her work was highly commended by doctors in the pathology department. Nancy was dedicated to her family, especially the six grandchildren, Deanna Bjorkquist and Stephania Ahluwalia of California, Drew and Shaye Beadling of East Lansing, Ashley Hartsuff of Spring Lake, and Brooke Hartsuff of Haslett. Nancy was a very giving person and a champion of the underdog. She loved her flower gardens, song birds, needlework, quilting, even canoeing the Au Sable River with husband, John. Nancy will be sorely missed by family and her church friends. Contributions may be made to the Williamston Free Methodist Church or Hospice of Lansing. Arrangements under the direction of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Williamston, MI.
